| This page is dedicated to all Original Drill Team Stars from California , they will never be forgotten . A Time in History . Original african american drill teams & drum squads recall from the mid 70's & early 90's era in California laid the foundation on the streets of California that brought a unified presence among african american youth's and other alike . African American drill teams & drum squads from Los Angeles , Compton , Long Beach & Gardena perform under the same roof at different venues, competed against each other down many boulevards in street parades and in front of professional judges, and during one of the most high profile parades in Los Angeles none other than the Easter parade that began on South Central Avenue and ended at South Park on Avalon Blvd , not one fight or gun battle broke out, we all had a common interest , which was to perform, be the best, out do each other skillfully in our dance moves and drum squad rhythm & techniques and at the end of the day it was just about having alot of fun and winning a trophy . Where ever we went you knew we been there for we literally put a hole in the ground and left our boot print in every city and state we performed and marched at . |

( High Steppers ) Compton Sounders ( Compton California ) Compton Scorpios ( Compton California ) Long Beach Poly ( Long Beach California ) |
| Purpose : To incorporate a Time in black history that is hidden from the eyes of a generation Additionally I will use this time in black history and my former glory being an Original Drill Team star with the Los Angeles Drillettes as a platform to speak in the lives of inner city youth in selected cities and states during various venues such as : Youth Conferences , Youth Church Programs , Youth Community Outreaches, Hip Hop Summits etc. |
